At Psyuni Institute of Psychology & Allied Sciences

We believe learning child psychology should feel real, alive, and meaningful.

This course goes beyond theory. You won’t just study concepts—you’ll see them in action, understand real children, and learn how psychological knowledge works in everyday life through guided field training and experiential learning.

Experiential Learning at PIPAS : How You Will Learn

Learn by Experiencing,                Not Just Studying

Learning at PIPAS takes place in an enjoyable, creative, and interactive atmosphere that supports experiential learning. The programme places strong emphasis on out-of-the-classroom exposure, allowing students to engage with counselling as a lived process rather than only an academic subject.

An Integrative &                          Holistic Approach

The course follows a core integrative model, bringing together thinking, feeling, and behaviour. Students are guided to understand counselling within its social and cultural contexts, ensuring that learning remains relevant and applicable to real-world situations.

The therapeutic relationship and client empowerment are seen as central to meaningful therapeutic change, and students are encouraged to develop their own counselling style within the integrative framework offered.

From Theory to Personal Counselling Style

Students begin by learning counselling skills through the humanistic approach, explored from both theory and practice perspectives. Over time, they are introduced to existential models and other therapeutic approaches, gradually expanding their understanding of counselling theory and practice.

As learning deepens, students move towards developing a personal, integrated counselling approach, where humanistic interventions are informed by broader counselling theories and the counselling process itself.

Learning as a Counsellor and as a Client

A defining feature of the programme is that students experience counselling both as a counsellor and as a client. Combined with extensive practical placements and direct client work, this allows students to gain confidence, insight, and professional readiness.

On completion, students are equipped to practice counselling and are awarded the Certificate of Practice in Counselling Psychology
